Aromatic Beef Stew Seasoning (Print-Friendly Version)

A robust blend of herbs and spices that transforms ordinary beef stew into a flavor-packed comfort dish worth savoring.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons onion powder
02 - 2 tablespoons garlic powder
03 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
05 - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
06 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
07 - 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
08 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
09 - 1 teaspoon celery seed
10 - 1 teaspoon salt
11 - 1 teaspoon black pepper

# Steps:

01 - Mix all of the seasonings together in a small bowl.
02 - Store in a glass container or spice jar in a cool, dark place.
03 - Mix 1.5-2 tablespoons of seasoning with optional 2.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour per pound of stew meat in a large bowl or baggie. Add chopped stew meat and toss to thoroughly coat the meat. Proceed with your beef stew preparation.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - Makes approximately 8 tablespoons of seasoning, enough to coat 4-5 pounds of stew meat. Adjust quantities if bolder flavor is preferred.
02 - Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
03 - Flour helps develop a rich, velvety gravy-like sauce and aids in searing the meat. Alternatively, you can mix the flour with water to create a slurry.
