Buttery sourdough filled with tender BBQ chicken and melted Havarti cheese for an elevated comfort food experience.

# Ingredients:

→ BBQ Chicken

01 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 2 ½ cups shredded roasted chicken
05 - ½ teaspoon paprika
06 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 cup BBQ sauce
08 - 12 slices Havarti cheese

→ Garlic Butter Bread

09 - ¼ cup butter
10 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
11 - 2 teaspoons parsley, minced
12 - 12 slices sourdough bread or sturdy white bread

# Steps:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook for about 2 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shredded chicken, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and BBQ sauce, mixing well. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
02 - In a medium bowl, combine butter, garlic, and parsley. Microwave until melted.
03 - Lay 12 slices of bread on a work surface. Spread the melted butter mixture on each piece. Turn each slice over. Add a slice of Havarti cheese to 6 of the bread slices, followed by the BBQ chicken mixture. Top with another slice of Havarti cheese and place the remaining 6 slices of bread on top, ensuring the buttered side is exposed on both sides.
04 - Place the assembled sandwiches in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the bottoms are browned. Flip each sandwich, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the second side is browned and the cheese is melted.
