Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Thread shrimp onto skewers.

Brush shrimp with barbecue sauce on all sides.

Grill skewers for 2–3 minutes per side, basting with more BBQ sauce as desired, until shrimp are pink and opaque.
