# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 28 g unsalted butter
02 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
03 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
04 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
05 - 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - 236 mL vegetable broth
07 - 113 g cream cheese
08 - 850 g cooked butter beans, drained (from two 425 g cans)
09 - 40 g shredded parmesan cheese

# Steps:

01 - Melt the unsalted butter in a large sauté pan or medium pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, ground black pepper, and smoked paprika. Sauté until the garlic softens and becomes aromatic, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
02 - Stir in vegetable broth and cream cheese. Continue stirring until the cream cheese is fully melted. Add drained butter beans and let the mixture simmer gently, uncovered, for 10 to 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
03 - Fold in shredded parmesan cheese. Combine thoroughly and serve warm.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - For added heat, incorporate red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne with the aromatics. Substitute canned beans with approximately 3 to 3.5 cups of cooked dried beans if preferred.
02 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop, adding a splash of vegetable broth or water if necessary to retain creaminess.
03 - To enhance the nutritional profile, stir in fresh spinach or kale at the end of cooking.
04 - A dairy-free version can be achieved by using plant-based butter, vegan cream cheese, and vegan Parmesan or nutritional yeast.
