French Bread Pepperoni Pizza (Print-Friendly Version)

Toasty French bread layered with garlic butter, Mozzarella, and pepperoni for quick, irresistible comfort.

# Ingredients:

→ Garlic Butter

01 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
02 - 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
04 - 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend

→ Base and Toppings

05 - 1 loaf French bread (not a baguette)
06 - 1 cup pizza sauce (adjust to taste)
07 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (adjust to taste)
08 - 2/3 cup sliced pepperoni (adjust to taste)
09 - 1/4 cup grated or shredded Parmesan cheese (adjust to taste)
10 - Pizza seasoning, to sprinkle (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 220°C and line a rimmed baking tray with foil. Set aside.
02 - Melt the butter using either a microwave or stovetop, then whisk together with garlic powder, dried parsley, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
03 - Cut the loaf of French bread in half crosswise, then halve each piece lengthwise to produce four bread pieces, approximately 18–20 cm long and 7–10 cm wide.
04 - Brush the cut sides of each bread piece with the prepared garlic butter mixture. Arrange on the baking tray and bake for 6–8 minutes.
05 - Remove from oven, sprinkle a portion of mozzarella cheese over the bread pieces, and return to oven for 4–5 minutes until cheese is melted.
06 - For a crispier finish, arrange pepperoni slices in a single layer on a plate and microwave for 40 seconds. Omit if a softer texture is preferred.
07 - Take baking tray from oven. Top the bread with pizza sauce, remaining mozzarella, microwaved pepperoni, Parmesan, and a sprinkle of pizza seasoning if desired. Bake for a further 8–10 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.
08 - Optionally, drizzle with leftover garlic butter. Serve the pizzas hot.
