French Dip Sliders (Print-Friendly Version)

Savory mini sandwiches with roast beef, melted cheese, and rich au jus dipping sauce on soft rolls with a buttery topping.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Sliders

01 - 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
02 - 1 lb deli-sliced roast beef
03 - 12 slices provolone cheese
04 - 1 medium onion, thinly sliced (optional)
05 - 2 tbsp butter for sautéing onions (optional)

→ For the Buttery Topping

06 - 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
07 - 1 tsp garlic powder
08 - 1 tsp onion powder
09 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
10 - 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
11 - 1 tsp dried parsley

→ For the Au Jus

12 - 2 cups beef broth
13 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
14 - 1 tsp soy sauce
15 - 1 tsp garlic powder
16 - ½ tsp black pepper

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact. Place the bottom halves of the buns in the prepared baking dish.
02 - Layer the roast beef evenly over the buns. If using onions, sauté them in butter until soft and golden, then layer them over the roast beef. Add a slice of provolone cheese to each bun. Place the tops of the buns over the cheese.
03 - In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, sesame seeds (if using), and parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
04 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
05 - While the sliders are baking, combine the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes. Keep warm.
06 - Serve the sliders warm with the au jus on the side for dipping.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - Assemble the sliders up to 4 hours in advance, then brush with butter topping and bake just before serving.
02 - For added heat, spread a layer of horseradish sauce or spicy mustard on the buns.
03 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispness.
