Grilled Sweet Cajun Chicken (Print-Friendly Version)

Juicy chicken breasts marinated in Cajun spice and brown sugar, perfect grilled for any meal.

# Ingredients:

→ For the marinade

01 - 60 ml olive oil
02 - 3 tablespoons Cajun spice blend
03 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar

→ For the chicken

04 - 2 large chicken breasts

# Steps:

01 - In a zip-lock bag or non-reactive container, mix olive oil, Cajun spice blend, and brown sugar. Combine thoroughly by squishing the bag or stirring in the container.
02 - Place each chicken breast flat on a chopping board. Slice horizontally through each breast to create two thin fillets from each piece.
03 - Add all chicken fillets to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 12-24 hours for optimal flavor.
04 - Preheat the grill or place a frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
05 - Remove chicken from the marinade. Grill or pan-fry each fillet for 3-4 minutes per side, turning once, until the chicken is cooked through.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - If your Cajun seasoning does not contain salt, add 1 teaspoon of salt to the marinade.
02 - Marinated chicken can be frozen in the marinade for up to 6 months; defrost in the refrigerator before cooking.
