Crispy Cheesy Cajun Fries (Print-Friendly Version)

Golden fries drenched in creamy cheese, zesty ranch, and Cajun spices deliver bold Southern flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Fries

01 - 1 bag frozen seasoned fries (crinkle cut or straight)
02 - 1–2 tablespoons oil (for air frying or baking, optional)

→ Voodoo Cheese Sauce

03 - 2 tablespoons butter
04 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
05 - 1 cup warm milk
06 - 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
07 - Salt, to taste

→ Voodoo Topping

08 - ½ cup ranch dressing
09 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
10 - Chopped green onions or parsley (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Cook fries by air frying at 400°F for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through, or bake as preferred until golden and crisp. Optionally, toss fries with a small amount of Cajun seasoning while hot to enhance flavor.
02 - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute until nutty and slightly foamy to form a roux. Gradually whisk in warm milk and continue stirring until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar until melted and smooth. Season with salt to taste.
03 - Arrange hot fries on a serving plate. Generously drizzle warm cheese sauce over the fries, then zigzag ranch dressing on top. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
04 - Serve the fries hot for optimal texture and flavor. Enjoy as a snack, side dish, or part of a larger meal.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - For best results, use proven crispy frozen fries or make fresh fries that can hold toppings without becoming soggy. Warm the milk before adding to the roux to ensure smooth sauce consistency.
