Mummy Hot Dog Bites (Print-Friendly Version)

Flaky hot dogs wrapped in crescent dough with melted cheese, perfect for a savory festive treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 (8 oz) can crescent dough

→ Cheese

02 - 3 slices American cheese

→ Protein

03 - 12 hot dogs

→ Topping

04 - 2 tbsp melted butter
05 - Dijon mustard for decorating

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles, sealing the seams by pinching as needed, then cut each rectangle lengthwise into thin strips.
02 - Cut each slice of American cheese into 4 thin strips for wrapping.
03 - Place one hot dog on a piece of cheese, then wrap with approximately 4 strips of crescent dough to resemble bandages. Repeat for all hot dogs.
04 - Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet and brush evenly with melted butter.
05 - Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
06 - Use a toothpick to dot Dijon mustard onto each hot dog to create eyes after baking.

01 - These can be assembled ahead and frozen before baking, or baked and frozen for up to one week. Reheat in the oven at 350°F to 375°F until warmed through.
