Pepperoni Asiago Pinwheels (Print-Friendly Version)

Flaky puff pastry pinwheels filled with pepperoni and asiago cheese - the perfect appetizer for any gathering!

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
02 - 5 ounces pepperoni, thinly sliced
03 - 1 cup asiago cheese, shredded
04 - Grated parmesan cheese
05 - Dried oregano
06 - Pizza sauce, for dipping

# Steps:

01 - On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 12x15-inch rectangle. Arrange the pepperoni evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle asiago cheese evenly over the pepperoni.
02 - Starting with the long edge, tightly roll the pastry jelly-roll style. Brush the seam with a little water and pinch to seal. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and freeze for 20 minutes.
03 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove pastry from the freezer, unwrap, and slice into 1/2-inch slices.
04 - Arrange slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and dried oregano. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - Pinwheels can be served hot or at room temperature and are delicious either way.
02 - Asiago cheese can be swapped with another variety if preferred, but asiago is recommended for best flavor.
03 - For larger gatherings, consider doubling the recipe as they tend to disappear quickly.
