# Ingredients:

→ Pastry and Filling

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
02 - 1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced
03 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
06 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

→ Finishing and Toppings

07 - 1 egg, beaten
08 - Granulated sugar, for sprinkling
09 - Powdered sugar, chopped nuts, or maple syrup for topping (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a small bowl, combine diced apple, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, optional nutmeg, and melted butter until evenly coated.
03 - Lightly flour a clean surface and unroll puff pastry sheet. Cut into 4 to 6 evenly sized rectangles.
04 - Spoon apple mixture along one short edge of each pastry rectangle. Roll up tightly, sealing the edge with a little water, and place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
05 - Brush each roll-up with beaten egg. Sprinkle with granulated sugar for added crispness.
06 - Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until pastry is golden and crisp.
07 - Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar or drizzling with maple syrup, if desired.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - Ensure the pastry is fully thawed to prevent tearing when rolling.
02 - For a crunchier finish, add chopped nuts to the filling or as a topping.
