Juicy ground beef, onions, and cheese tucked in brioche rolls, served with savory dipping broth.

# Ingredients:

→ Beef Mixture

01 - 900 g lean ground beef
02 - 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
03 - 60 g quick-cooking oats

→ Seasonings & Liquid

04 - 315 ml beef broth
05 - 28 g beefy onion soup mix
06 - 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
07 - 2.5 ml garlic powder
08 - 2.5 ml freshly ground black pepper

→ Assembly

09 - 6 slices provolone cheese
10 - 6 brioche burger buns or slider rolls

# Steps:

01 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and sliced onions, breaking up the meat, until no pink remains.
02 - Remove any excess grease from the cooked beef and onion mixture to ensure a balanced texture.
03 - Place the drained beef and onion mixture evenly in the slow cooker.
04 - Add quick oats, beef broth, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper, stirring thoroughly.
05 - Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours until the flavors meld and the mixture thickens.
06 - Fifteen to twenty minutes before serving, lay provolone cheese slices over the beef mixture and cover to allow the cheese to melt completely.
07 - While cheese is melting, lightly toast the brioche buns if desired to help maintain their structure.
08 - Generously spoon the cheesy beef mixture onto the bottom halves of buns, top, and serve with small bowls of cooking liquid for dipping.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - Quick-cooking oats help absorb moisture and provide a hearty texture.
02 - Save a portion of the cooking liquid to serve as au jus for dipping.
03 - Prepared sandwiches freeze well for up to three months; thaw and reheat gently in the slow cooker.
04 - Mozzarella or Swiss cheese may be substituted for provolone if desired.
