# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef

02 - 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

04 - Ground black pepper, to taste

05 - 1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots
06 - 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - Ensure all ingredients are ready. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for even cooking.
02 - Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground beef for 7 to 10 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned. Stir in condensed cream of mushroom soup, then season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
03 - Transfer the beef and soup mixture evenly into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the tots.
04 - Place the assembled dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 45 minutes until tater tots are crispy and golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
05 - Allow the casserole to cool slightly so layers set before cutting into squares and serving warm.

# Notes & Tips:

01 - For best cheese melt and flavor, shred Cheddar fresh instead of using pre-shredded. The dish can be assembled ahead and frozen before baking.
