Vampire Chocolate Chip Treats (Print-Friendly Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookies

01 - 1 tube chocolate chip cookie dough (approximately 16 oz)

→ Frosting

02 - 1 can vanilla frosting (approximately 15 oz)
03 - red food coloring, a few drops

→ Decorations

04 - mini marshmallows, quantity as needed for edging
05 - slivered almonds, quantity as needed for fangs

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll cookie dough into 1.5-inch diameter balls and evenly space them on the sheets. Bake until golden, about 12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool completely, then slice each cookie in half horizontally.
02 - Add a few drops of red food coloring into the vanilla frosting and stir well until uniformly tinted. Spread a thin, even layer of the red frosting onto one side of each cookie half.
03 - Arrange mini marshmallows along the rounded edges of half the cookie halves. Place the remaining frosted cookie halves on top to sandwich. Press a slivered almond on each side of the cookie sandwich to mimic vampire fangs.
